NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – S14 (2) ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers issues this notice temporarily to prohibit traffic in the following length of road:-
Brereton Lane, Brereton Rural Ward, Sandbach, the outside of Courthouse Farm to the junction of Jones Road
The alternative route will be via the following streets: – Brereton Lane, Back Lane, Newcastle Road North, Dog Lane, London Road, Chester Road, Middlewich Road, A54 Holmes Chapel Roundabout, Holmes Chapel Road

The closure is necessary for works to be carried out by National Highways
It is anticipated that the works will take place on the following date(s): Monday 26th January 2026 to Saturday 31st January 2026 (night works )
