M6 Junction 19 – Carriageway surfacing works

Highways England is responsible for managing and maintaining the motorway and trunk road network in Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and South Lancashire.

I am writing to inform you of carriageway surfacing works, due to take place on the roundabout located at M6 Junction 19. The scheme includes the replacement of traffic sensors and cables, renewal of road markings and replacement of anti-skid material.

Works are due to start on 20 February 2017 for approximately one week. The will be carried out between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00, Monday to Friday. The scheme has been programmed around other major schemes in the area to ensure there are no conflicts of works.

In order to facilitate and carry out the works safely, a closure will be in place on the M6 Junction 19 roundabout during the dates and times stated above. Localised signed diversion routes will be in place.

It is possible that these works may cause some disruption and noise, however using industry best practice, we will do everything to minimise any inconvenience. Works are subject to weather conditions therefore dates may change at short notice.

Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald (BBMM) will be delivering these works on Highways England’s behalf.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause you. If you wish to discuss this project further or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me via the details stated below.
