Brereton Parish Council meets at the Parish School approximately every 5/6 weeks. Meetings start at 7:30pm and are open to the public and press. The Council holds its Annual Council meeting every May, where the Chairman and Vice-Chairman are elected.
Agendas for all meetings are uploaded onto the website a week before the meeting, and are also posted on the parish noticeboard. Once minutes have been approved by the Council they are uploaded on the website too.
The forthcoming meeting dates are April 16, May 21, (Annual Parish Meeting at 7:00pm followed by Parish Council Meeting at 7:30pm), June 25, July 23, September 10, October 15, November 19, December 17, 2018 and January 28, March 4, April 8, 2019
COUNCIL FINANCES & POLICY
The Parish Council is financed through the Parish Precept. The precept is collected by Cheshire East Council as part of the Council Tax and for 2015/16 the precept is £15,635 which equates to £27.95 for a Band D property.
Payments made by the Council are published in the Council’s minutes and the Council does not own any land or buildings. You can view copies of the Annual Audit and full Accounts for complete financial years to the right.
